Fellowship programs for IMGs

The RACGP Fellowship programs recognise the work international medical graduates have done overseas and in Australia.

Applicants with a specialist qualification may be eligible for the Practice Experience Program Specialist. Applicants without a recognised specialist qualification may be eligible for the Fellowship Support Program or the Australian General Practice Training Program.

Practice Experience Program

PEP is a self-directed education program to support non-vocationally registered doctors on their journey to RACGP Fellowship. The PEP Standard is no longer taking applications.

Fellowship Support Program

The Fellowship Support Program (FSP) is a self-funded education and training program to support non-vocationally registered doctors on their journey to Fellowship. Registrars work in accredited training practices under supervision.

Australian General Practice Training Program

Funded by the Australian Government, the Australian General Practice Training Program is a three year training program with an optional fourth year. Eligible international medical graduates are welcome to apply for this program.
