Minimum leave entitlements

  Important
The RACGP manages the leave you can take from your training program. For any leave you need to take from work, you must speak to your employer directly.

While you complete your training program, you are entitled to the following leave:

  • 14 calendar days of annual leave, and
  • seven calendar days of sick or carer’s leave.

You can take this leave without applying to, seeking approval from or notifying the RACGP; however you will need to advise and/or negotiate with your employer.
