Entitlements


Program leave

You have the same training program leave entitlements as any other AGPT registrar, as outlined in the AGPT Registrar Training Handbook. Any leave you wish to take during training must be agreed to and discussed with your ADF service and your practice (if you are completing your civilian placement). This includes all occurrences of annual leave, sick leave, war leave and removal leave.

Any leave beyond two weeks of annual leave and one week sick or carer’s leave during each training term also requires approval from your regional ADF team.

Employment leave

Your employment leave entitlements are set out in your ADF service employment contract. This means you’re not eligible for negotiated study leave, parental leave or the associated incentive payments set out in the AGPT Registrar Training Handbook. Instead, you may access the equivalent ADF employment leave entitlements that are available to you.

All leave taken while working in civilian general practice must be recorded with your ADF service.
