RACGP Remote Supervisor Pool

RACGP Remote Supervisor Pool

Last updated 28 July 2026

Help strengthen registrar training across Australia

The RACGP is establishing a Remote Supervisor Pool, a national register of accredited remote supervisors available to provide remote supervision and supervision support. This initiative will ensure seamless continuity of registrar training during periods when a supervisor is on leave or otherwise unavailable, while also providing opportunities for supervisor respite.

Remote supervision may be required for:

  • Short-term leave coverage
  • Emergency supervision arrangements
  • Longer-term placements in rural and remote communities
  • Support for accredited training sites experiencing supervisor shortages

The remote supervisor pool will help ensure continuity of registrar training while supporting increased training capacity across eligible accredited training sites.

To be eligible, you must:

  • Hold FRACGP or FACRRM
