Mental health training
The General Practice Mental Health Standards Collaboration (GPMHSC) was established in 2002 and was included as part of the Better Access to Psychiatrist, Psychologists and General Practitioners through the Medicare Benefits Schedule (Better Access) initiative in 2006.
The GPMHSC welcomes and encourages prospective training providers to seek accreditation for mental health education, including Mental Health Skills Training, Mental Health CPD, Focussed Psychological Strategies Skills Training and Focussed Psychological Strategies CPD.
By accrediting your activity with the GPMHSC, GPs who complete your activities will be eligible to access additional item numbers under the MBS.
Visit the new GPMHSC website for further information.
