Module 1 - Safer Opioid prescribing
ONLINE TRAINING

RACGP Victoria is offering online training with information and strategies for safer prescribing opioids. This training is a prerequisite for prescribers who want to attend MATOD Module 2.

Prescribers must be registered with AHPRA to be eligible for this training.

Advanced Clinical Emergency Management Program - Melbourne

Please read the eligibility criteria before registering for this event. You must have completed or be enrolled in the Intermediate CEMP or equivalent to register for this course.

This highly interactive two day workshop have been designed to further build participants' knowledge, skills and confidence when responding to medical emergencies. It focuses on the management of life threatening emergencies and includes specific skills required to manage adult and paediatric trauma.

This education is an interactive session presented by MATOD specialist GPs accredited for 40 Category 1 QI&CPD points for the 2017-2019 triennium.

PEP Assessors Workshop

The RACGP PEP team would like to invite medical educators who will be undertaking the PEP workplace-based assessments to attend a train the trainer workshop in December. The workshop is targeted at those medical educators who will be training clinical assessors in each RTO and places are limited. A minimum of two participants per RTO is guaranteed, with additional places available subject to demand. Additional training for assessors will be available by way of webinars and online modules. A comprehensive guide for assessors will also be provided.

PEP Remediation Workshop

**REGISTRATIONS CLOSED** The RACGP Practice Experience Program (PEP) team would like to inform you of an all day workshop on remediation that you may be interested in attending. The workshop is primarily for those medical educators who would like to be involved in remediation in the PEP. As you know, the PEP offers support to non-VR doctors on their path to achieving RACGP Fellowship (FRACGP). Its broad aim is to assist participants with the development of a learning program, primarily to enhance their clinical knowledge and skills but also to assist them with their preparations towards FRACGP. The objectives of the workshop are: - To be familiar with how remediation will be conducted in the PEP - To provide basic training in remediation for those who have limited or no experience in the field

Intermediate Clinical Emergency Mgt Program - Melbourne

This one day highly interactive workshop focuses on recognition and management of medical emergencies in general practice, including acute coronary syndrome, acute asthma, anaphylaxis and effective cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), which meets the 2017-19 triennium basic CPR course requirement. It also meets the basic life support (BLS) and advanced life support (ALS) training requirements for general practice registrars and RACGP Fellowship.
