Medication Assisted Treatment for Opioid Dependence (MATOD)

Module 1 - Safer Opioid prescribing
ONLINE TRAINING FOR VICTORIAN PRESCRIBERS

RACGP Victoria is offering online training on safer opioid prescribing and opioid dependence for Victorian GPs. This training is a prerequisite for prescribers who want to attend MATOD Module 2.

Prescribers must be registered with AHPRA to be eligible for this training.

Please contact RACGP Victoria if you don't have a RACGP number. This training is accessible by default for Victorian GPs. Interstate GPs please request access.

This education is accredited for 4 Category 2 QI&CPD points for the 2020-2022 triennium.

By registering for this training you consent for your details to be provided to the Department of Health and Human Services and Victorian Pharmacotherapy Area Based Networks.

Module 2
ONLINE TRAINING FOR VICTORIAN PRESCRIBERS

We are very pleased to be offering the Medication Assisted Treatment for Opioid Dependence (MATOD) program online via GP Learning.

Workshop Program:
Module 1 includes how to implement safe and effective opioid prescribing and how to recognise, prevent and respond to problematic opioid abuse.

Module 2 includes recordings of 'essential knowledge', interviews with MATOD experts, as well as two live zoom meets that will allow you to ask questions of the experts.

On completion you'll be trained and recognised as a prescriber for methadone and buprenorphine based assisted treatment of opioid dependence.
