CPR Course for GPs - Canberra

This course is designed to provide GPs with the necessary Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) knowledge and skills as required in the 2017 - 19 RACGP QI&CPD triennium. These RACGP courses are nationally accredited and presented by ReViva First Aid. Certificates in CPR are issued on completion of the respective course.
Skin Cancer Essentials - Canberra
Assessment and management in the general practice setting

Skin cancer essentials is RACGP NSW&ACT workshop designed to upskill GPs in assessing and managing skin cancers in the general practice setting. The workshop provides practical learning experiences in dermoscopy, and a variety of biopsy and suturing techniques to equip GPs with the necessary skills to safely assess and manage their patients with skin cancers.
This workshop will be approved for a one-day Surgery grant.

RACGP NSW&ACT will host the 2019 Fellowship and Awards Ceremony on Saturday 21 September at the National Museum of Australia Canberra. This ceremony is a highlight on the annual calendar as we recognise and celebrate the achievements of New Fellows and award winners.

Introduction To Point-of-care Ultrasound - Canberra
The 'Introduction to point-of-care ultrasound for rural GPs' Active Learning Module (ALM) is designed to support rural GPs to increase their understanding of the applications of point-of-care ultrasound in the diagnostic process. The training is delivered by rural GPs and sonographers who are experienced in using ultrasound in their practice environment.
This full-day ALM will give general practice registrars and rural & remote GPs the opportunity to identify practical applications of ultrasound technology in rural general practice settings and utilise point of care ultrasound devices under the guidance of experts.
The ALM is accredited for 40 QI&CPD Category 1 points and is also approved for the Rural Procedural Grants Program.
The ALM runs from 8.30am till 4.30pm and will be offered to RACGP members at $495 (incl. GST). Morning tea and lunch will be provided.
