This event is designed to provide the most up-to-date information, latest research and practical advice by leading experts on Type 2 Diabetes in general practice. It will enhance and further the education of medical professionals working within the field of General Practice. The event will also be available as a webcast to make it available to rural GPs.

Relevance to General Practice

There has been an explosion of major cardiovascular outcomes studies in the past few years with a focus on new therapeutics that are currently available or coming to market soon. These studies have shaped our thinking regarding Type 2 diabetes management and resulted in a shift in the diabetes management algorithm.
This event will contain an update on recent major developments in the world of T2 diabetes including new guidelines, new major studies and therapeutic developments of relevance to GPs. The new therapeutic options for T2 diabetes now available will also be discussed; understanding how best to use them, combine them or transition patients between them. The experts will also discuss how to manage T2 diabetes in patients with impaired kidney function.
