To provide general practices with the education, assistance and resources needed to demonstrate compliance with the RACGP standards for general practices for the purposes of achieving accreditation to the RACGP standards.
Relevance to General Practice
Accreditation against the RACGP standards for general practices enables practices to participate in the Australian government's Practice Incentives Program, which aims to encourage continuing improvements in general practice through financial incentives to support quality care, and improving access and health outcomes for patients. To be eligible to participate in the program, a practice must be accredited or registered for accreditation against the RACGP standards for general practices.

- Self assess your general practice against the RACGP standards using AGPAL’s software program.
- Implement necessary changes to meet the current version of the
RACGP Standards.
