This online learning module allows general practice staff to get a better understanding of the essential aspects of practice management such as the Medicare basics and dealing with patients and staff.

Relevance to General Practice

The practice managers and receptionists are the frontline staff in General Practice and therefore need to be able to effectively triage, manage and deal with patients, staff and the management of the practice.

Learning outcomes

  1. The participant will effectively be able to understand Australian Medicare Incentives Program is comprised of the Practice Incentives Program (PIP) and Service
  2. The participant will gain an understanding of Triage in General Practice and how to prioritize cases.
  3. The participant will be able to better understand and apply their knowledge to dealing with difficult and challenging behaviour from patients and staff
