The RACGP has provided a response to the NSW Department of Communities and Justice on the It’s Healthy to Fight Modern Slavery stakeholder consultation. The RACGP’s response supports the document but notes its impact will depend on effective dissemination and ensuring content is tailored to meet the needs of different audiences in different settings. The response highlights our key concerns including limited representation of general practice, the use of universal screening, and the feasibility of lengthy assessment tools in GP settings.
