The RACGP response to the National Dementia Action Plan consultation broadly supports the National Dementia Action Plan. The response provides recommendations for changes to be made to objectives 1-7 to highlight the important role GPs have in recognising, assessing, diagnosing and managing dementia. An integrated health system is required to support and improve diagnosis and care between dementia services.
