The RACGP was invited by The Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety (Royal Commission) to give evidence at hearings to be held in February 2019 to assist with the Royal Commission. In addition, the RACGP has been asked to prepare a statement in advance of the hearings.
The RACGP submitted a response that highlighted the important role of general practice and general practitioners in the care of older peoples in residential aged care facilities.
