The RACGP provided comment to the Department of Health consultation on the proposed changes to the current aged care assessment model. RACGP feedback outlined the need to:
- enhance GP referrals to My Aged Care
- provide opportunities for GPs to review support plans
- employ healthcare professionals with aged care training in the aged care national assessment workforce.
