AGPT registrars can commence applying to practices for the 2025.2 placement round through the Training Management System (TMS) from Monday, 28 April. Due to this, we are anticipating higher-than-usual traffic to our TMS. Although this may result in slower load times, we will actively be monitoring TMS performance and making necessary changes to remediate any issues. In 2017, the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) agreed to work on a refreshed Closing the Gap agenda. Following this, in December 2018, COAG agreed to a Joint Partnership with the Coalition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peak Organisations, and commenced a new consultation process.

The RACGP is using this opportunity to reinforce its earlier position on the direction of the Closing the Gap Strategy, and to voice our support for continued leadership from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peak organisations.
