Summary

Date: 14 March 2019

The Medicare Benefits Schedule Review Taskforce published the Draft report from the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Clinical Committee. The report contains two general recommendations and 61 recommendations, most of which are not relevant to the general practice profession.

The majority of recommendations coming from this MBS review report do not negatively affect the scope or financial viability of general practice. The exception is recommendation 35, which would require a GP to be present during burns dressing.
