AGPT registrars can commence applying to practices for the 2025.2 placement round through the Training Management System (TMS) from Monday, 28 April. Due to this, we are anticipating higher-than-usual traffic to our TMS. Although this may result in slower load times, we will actively be monitoring TMS performance and making necessary changes to remediate any issues. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding.

Submission to TGA proposed therapeutic goods advertising code guidance

Page last updated 30 May 2019

Summary

4 October 2018

The Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA) sought further stakeholder feedback on the proposed ‘Therapeutic goods advertising code’.

The RACGP previously provided feedback on this issue to the Senate Inquiry into the Therapeutic Goods Amendment (2017 Measures No.1) Bill 2017 and Therapeutic Goods (Charges) Amendment Bill 2017, and during this draft’s initial consultation phase.

The RACGP reiterated its concerns that consumers are not provided with accurate information when purchasing complementary and alternative medicines; and that the code should also cover food and other products.
