The Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) Review Taskforce released a report from the Orthopaedics clinical committee outlining proposed recommendations for new and altered MBS consultation items.
The RACGP responded to a number of the recommendations. In particular, changes to items descriptors, and changes to after care which may affect patient accessibility in rural and remote areas. The RACGP supports provisions be made for GPs to provide and bill for aftercare in such situations.
