The National Heart Foundation of Australia and Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand sought feedback for a new publication – Guidelines for the prevention, detection and management of heart failure in Australia 2018. The publication was developed to assist Australian medical practitioners in the prevention, detection and management of heart failure.
The RACGP provided feedback around the guideline’s change in definition of heart failure, which is likely to substantially increase the number of patients diagnosed with the condition.
