AGPT registrars can commence applying to practices for the 2025.2 placement round through the Training Management System (TMS) from Monday, 28 April. Due to this, we are anticipating higher-than-usual traffic to our TMS. The RACGP thanks RANZCOG for the opportunity to provide comment on the public consultation of the Maternity Framework for Australia, 1st Edition (the Framework). The Framework acknowledges the vital role of GPs in maternity care.

The RACGP response provides specific feedback to further reinforce the important role of GPs in maintaining continuity of care and to advance preventative health care including vaccination for both the woman and her family.
