The RACGP welcomes the opportunity to provide written comment on the Practice Incentives Programme (PIP) eHealth Incentive Discussion Paper. However, it is extremely disappointing that the consultation process conducted by the Department of Health via webinar was inadequate and lacked transparency.
There was little meaningful audience participation, due to the use of a closed online question platform controlled by the Department. Attending GPs have advised that they were not able to view questions asked by other participants to provide constructive feedback or comment during the discussion, and a number of GPs have advised us many questions raised were not satisfactorily addressed.
