On 27 September 2015, the MBS Review Taskforce released a consultation paper providing an overview of the MBS Review and its processes. The consultation paper posed a series of questions to stakeholders on the MBS Review and operation of the MBS.
The RACGP undertook broad member consultation to inform our response to these questions, with the submission addressing a range of issues identified by members.
The RACGP welcomes the MBS Review as an opportunity to modernise Medicare and argues for better recognition and focus on GPs through the MBS review process.
