AGPT registrars can commence applying to practices for the 2025.2 placement round through the Training Management System (TMS) from Monday, 28 April. Due to this, we are anticipating higher-than-usual traffic to our TMS. Although this may result in slower load times, we will actively be monitoring TMS performance and making necessary changes to remediate any issues. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding.

Response: Department of Health’s proposed amendments to the PCEHR (assisted registration) rules

Page last updated 7 June 2019

Summary

Date: 22 July 2015

The Assisted Registration Rules for the PCEHR require that an organisation providing assisted registration must record the consumer’s consent in writing and either retain that consent for three years or send it to the System Operator to retain for three years.

The Department of Health proposes to remove the requirement to retain forms and replace it with a simple requirement to obtain the consumer’s consent.

The RACGP acknowledges that changes to the current PCEHR assisted registration process will ease the administration burden on general practice with regards to the management and storage of paperwork.
