MBS time-tiered items for primary care
The Medical Benefits Schedule (MBS) Review Advisory Committee (MRAC) is reviewing MBS time-tiered items for primary care. The review will consider issues such as item consistency, opportunities to streamline, and whether the current time-tiers appropriately support contemporary clinical practice. The review is in the early stages and will continue into 2025.
Further information on the review is available via the Department of Health and Aged Care's website.
The RACGP is seeking member input to inform our response to the review. We want to ensure our recommendations support members to provide high-quality general practice care.
