It’s time to care…

RACGP Advocacy Priorities 2022

About the campaign

The RACGP is calling on the Federal Government to recognise and act on the need for greater investment into comprehensive and coordinated care through achievable reforms.

GPs are ready for the challenges ahead, but we need a strong commitment now from the Federal Government to make sure that GPs are available where they are needed, can meet the challenges of the future, and can work in the health systems of tomorrow.

Message from President, Dr Karen Price

Patients deserve the best healthcare possible no matter who they are or where they live. GPs and general practice teams are the cornerstone of the system providing that care.

Time to Care is a grassroots campaign, to ensure that the voices of GPs and patients can be heard, and to advocate for real recognition and action. GPs need time to care for our patients during consultations as we work with them through the complexities of health care.

Here is where you can learn more about our advocacy, how to get involved, find resources that support our asks of government, media links to the coverage that Time to Care has achieved, and real-life patient and GP stories that support the need for further investment into general practice.

It’s time for reform. It’s time for more investment. It’s time for care.

Dr Karen Price
RACGP President
