Climate change advocacy

The RACGP is a signatory, with four other medical colleges, to an open letter to federal, state and territory leaders and all energy companies calling for them to adopt a plan to protect Australians from the impacts of air pollution and climate change by replacing coal with renewable energy by 2030.

The RACGP joined with nine other medical colleges calling on federal leaders to take decisive action on climate change, to ensure a climate ready and climate friendly healthcare system.

The RACGP has recently taken a range of actions to promote, enable, and implement environmental sustainability.
