Royal International Convention Centre

The historic Brisbane Showgrounds is a world-class events and lifestyle precinct, located on the fringe of the city's CBD.

It's home to the state-of-the-art Royal International Convention Centre (Royal ICC), a four and a half star Rydges Hotel and vibrant King Street dining hub, making it a sought-after and leading events destination.


The Brisbane Showgrounds precinct offers a number of undercover parking facilities, with the Royal International Convention Centre car park and King Street Parking best suited for conference delegates. As at January 2021 weekend rates are advertised as $15 per day.

Public transport


The main taxi companies operating in Brisbane are Black and White Cabs (ph. 13 32 22) and Yellow Cabs (ph. 13 19 24). There are taxi zones located outside Rydges Fortitude Valley and The George Bar and Bistro on King Street.


Rideshare apps, such as Uber and GoCatch, enable you to connect with a ride. The driver will pick you up from your selected location and payment is cashless.


Bowen Hills and Fortitude Valley railway stations are less than a 10 minute walk from the Brisbane Showgrounds.

Buses access the streets surrounding the Brisbane Showgrounds regularly.

You can also choose to ride the CityGlider buses, which provide high-frequency transport from West End to Teneriffe and Ashgrove to Stones Corner, while the free City Loop bus service is perfect for exploring the CBD.
