Module 1 - Safer Opioid prescribing

RACGP Victoria is offering online training with information and strategies for safer prescribing opioids. This training is a prerequisite for prescribers who want to attend MATOD Module 2.
Prescribers must be registered with AHPRA (ie must have an AHPRA number) to be eligible for this training.

Perform CPR - A Workshop for GPs

RACGP Victoria is holding a series of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) workshops for GPs. This is an ideal opportunity to fulfil your CPR requirements for the 2017-19 triennium while at the same time networking with fellow GPs.
Accreditation: This workshop is accredited for 5 Category 2 RACGP QI&CPD points for the 2017-2019 triennium and meets the basic CPR course requirement. Completion of this workshop meets registrar requirements for CPR.

PLAN is an online activity designed to assist you to map out and document your learning needs. It is a mandatory QI&CPD requirement for the 2017-19 triennium and can only be completed online.
With a small group size and one-on-one assistance in the RACGP computer lab, this session will take you step-by-step through the process and allow you to start the completion of your PLAN.
GP's who attend will be awarded 3 Category 2 points.

RACGP Victoria and RANZCP are co-delivering a Family Violence workshop which will feature expert opinions and perspectives from leading specialists on family violence. Care-based discussions will include state-wide partnership approaches into systems, victims, issues, perpetrators and other issues impacting general practitioners and psychiatrists.
Featuring multiple speakers, discussions will also include reform processes based on the Royal Commission into Family Violence, the judicial system and legal aspects from a court perspective, and the experiences from a forensic mental perspective.

This one day highly interactive workshop focuses on recognition and management of medical emergencies in general practice, including acute coronary syndrome, acute asthma, anaphylaxis and effective cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), which meets the 2017-19 triennium basic CPR course requirement. It also meets the basic life support (BLS) and advanced life support (ALS) training requirements for general practice registrars and RACGP Fellowship.
