Improving the health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people is one of Australia's highest health priorities.
The RACGP is committed to raising awareness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health needs and as a result, the RACGP National Faculty of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health was formed in February 2010, to help 'close the gap'.
By understanding the cultural context, the faculty advocates for culturally appropriate health delivery systems that will improve health outcomes for Indigenous Australians.
We welcome your participation in faculty activities and encourage you to contact us to raise issues concerning Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health.
Membership is at no additional cost to existing RACGP members. Find out the benefits of becoming a member.
Please be aware that this website may contain the names or images of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people who may now be deceased.
