RACGP General Practice Vocational Training Standards
The RACGP is responsible for maintaining and developing the standards for general practice training in Australia. The Australian government has adopted Fellowship of the RACGP as the standard for practising as an unsupervised GP in Australia.
The 2005 General Practice Vocational Training Standards were developed by the RACGP National Standing Committee of Education (2003 to 2005) with input from a wide variety of stakeholders.
The 2005 standards indicate both the minimum requirements and aspirational goals for general practice education and includes standards for trainers, training posts, programs and providers.
