The hours of work are by negotiation but currently are from 8am to 5pm.

The practice

The Knopwood Medical Centre was purpose-built and was fully renovated in 2013. It provides a spacious, modern, pleasant working environment.

There are 7 consulting rooms, a large 2 bed treatment room and a staff/conference room. The practice is supported by a full complement of nursing staff, a visiting podiatrist, psychologist and surgeon. It has onsite pathology and an adjacent pharmacy with intercom access.

What’s on offer?

This is a full-time position with no out of hours or weekend work required.

Generous remuneration is offered. Expect 70-75% and these are mixed billings.

About the Company

About the Practice and Hospital

The practice is the only medical centre on King Island and there is high demand for permanent doctors after an extensive period of locum cover in the town. Working alongside one experienced GP/VMO, you will receive excellent nursing and administrative support and provide on call services to the hospital.

King Island is classified as an RA5 location and is eligible for the highest rural relocation and retention grants. It is a recognised District of Workforce Shortage (DWS), and practitioners are eligible for ROMPs payments, as well as gaining access to the RLRP, RVTS and ACRRM Independent Pathway GP training programs.

You will benefit from:
