Advocacy

The RACGP strongly advocates for general practitioners and general practice, promoting the importance of patient safety, quality care, coordination of care, whole patient care, better recognition and reward for general practitioners, and investment into primary healthcare infrastructure, teams, training, and technology.

The RACGP invites participation and feedback on important matters and advocacy efforts via weekly feedback polls in In Practice. GPs, practice staff and members of the public are welcome to contact the RACGP Advocacy team at advocacy@racgp.org.au to provide comments in relation to Government announcements and health issues.

The below advocacy topics reflect the breadth of the RACGP’s advocacy work and will be updated to reflect the ongoing advocacy of the RACGP. You can view relevant position statements, submissions, letters and RACGP advocacy news items by clicking a topic below.
