Exam Preparation and Communication Skills Training Course 2 (27 May 2009 29 Jul 2009)

Description: The SA&NT Faculty of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners presents a pre-examination course designed for international medical graduates (IMGs) preparing to undertake FRACGP or Australian Medical Council (AMC) examinations to become professionally recognised in Australia. The exam preparation and communication skills course is a 10 week comprehensive and integrated course which aims to familiarise participants with the exam process, and strengthen their communication and interpersonal skills. The course program enables participants to identify and target their individual performance gaps, and provides valuable insight into the exam process and the standards required to pass the exam.

NT Pre-Exam Seminar - Written Component (18 Jul 2009 18 Jul 2009)

Description: The RACGP NT Assessment Panel will conduct a one day seminar to assist candidates in their preparation for the 2009.2 college fellowship written examination. The seminar will include: Instruction in examination techniques Applied Knowledge Test Key Feature Problems During the seminar, candidates will be tutored by experienced members of the NT Assessment Panel. AKT and KFP practice sessions will provide candidates with the opportunity to experience the written elements of the exam.

Fellowship Preparation Program (24 Jul 2009 26 Jul 2009)

Description: The Fellowship Preparation Program is organised by the RACGP SA&NT Faculty. The program is now in its fifth successful year and participants have found it most beneficial in the lead up to the exam. This program is aimed at introducing participants to the five domains of general practice which are: œ communication skills and the patient doctor relationship œ applied professional knowledge and skills œ population health in the context of general practice œ professional and ethical role œ organisation and legal dimensions The three day program covers the curriculum areas essential for competent, unsupervised general practice. The sessions are highly interactive with small group activities and role playing. There are over 20 presenters, most of whom are experienced examiners.

Exam Preparation & Communications Course (02 Sep 2009 04 Nov 2009)

Description: 10 week pre-examination course designed for international medical graduates preparing to undertake the AMC clinical or MCQ exam or the FRACGP exam. This course is presented by the SA&NT faculty QA &CPD department. Course Structure: 2 hour group sessions are held every Wednesday from 4pm-6pm for 10 weeks.
