Patient safety initiatives
check Program - GP safety
We are currently preparing an edition of the RACGP check Program focused on GP safety. We anticipate finalising the material in the second half of 2007, with publication scheduled for early in 2008.
We are interested in case studies about safety issues which GPs (and members of their practice teams) face in their day-to-day work. We are keen to have examples of effective safeguards for the safety that have been introduced; and to hear the questions that you believe GPs and their staff would ask about safety (together with the answers our GPs need). We anticipate that this format of information will be the basis of our edition of check. Please email us ideas at safety@racgp.org.au.
