Call for nominations: NRF board representatives

In accordance with the Faculty Board Regulations (May 2010) nominations for the state representatives of Victoria and Western Australia on the NRF Board are open on Friday 1st July 2011. All positions are for two years. All Fellows who are financial members and members of the faculty as at 30 June 2011 are eligible to be nominated for the state in which they are ordinarily resident.

Each nomination must be signed by no less than 2 voting members and must be counter-signed by the nominee as evidence of his/her willingness to stand. Nominees are invited to supply a profile of themselves (up to 300 words) including “what they would see as their contribution to the work of the National Rural Faculty Board.”

Nominations close on 22nd July 2011 and if there is only one nomination, the nominee will be notified that they are appointed unopposed.
If there is more than one nomination, all nominees will be informed of the need for an election. Notification to the voting members will happen via Friday Facts and voting will open on 15th August 2011 for a period of 28 days.

Successful nominees will be notified on 12th September 2011 and will be inaugurated at the NRF Annual Meeting on Wednesday, 5th October 2011.
