Career in 
general practice e-guideThe college has developed a membership package to support residents and interns who are considering a career in general practice. Designed to provide an extensive range of useful resources to support you in your medical career, your membership package includes an extensive range of resources at a significantly reduced membership fee.

From 1 July 2010 to 30 June 2011, you can access all these resources for only $159 (incl GST):

Advocating on your behalf

The RACGP has an integral role in advocating on a range of primary issues in the profession, including health reform, the Medicare Benefits Scheme and national registration. Such issues influence the ability of GPs, doctors in training and their practice staff to provide safe and quality care. Your clinical education

gplearning
gplearning is the college's highly interactive and easy to use online education service. You can access over 300 FREE gplearning activities, which are ideal for testing your clinical knowledge and practising for your examinations. gplearning presents residents and interns with case based problems, simulated patient consultations and multiple choice questions that test your thinking and decision making process.

check Program online
check (continuous home evaluation of clinical knowledge) is our monthly online self education program with topics relevant to a wider range of medical practitioners, including gastroenterology and type 2 diabetes, palliative care. Valued at $115.50 (incl GST)

Clinical publications and resources
RACGP resident and intern members can receive up to 20% discount on the recommended retail price on a range of hardcopy publications . The RACGP produces and holds a range of clinical publications to support students with their medical education. External publications include John Murtagh's titles, Therapeutic Guidelines titles and other reference handbooks

e-health

The RACGP recognises the importance of, and is paving the way to, a robust electronic health (e-health) system for Australia . The college will be developing some comprehensive tools to help you implement e-health initiatives in your clinical practice. Find out more...

RACGP website
The RACGP website contains information on all aspects of general practice. You can access member only areas which allow you to submit feedback to the college, access online clinical resources and much more.

The RACGP John Murtagh Library
Members have full access to our specialist service including loans, literature searches and more The online library contains a suite of full text databases including; Informit AustHealth Collection; Harrison 's Online and the AccessLange Collection of over 50 e-texts.

Fridayfacts
Fridayfacts is the college's national weekly e-newsletter. The e-newsletter is devoted to delivering timely news, information and alerts for general practice every Friday.

Events
Resident and intern members can receive a discount on the registration fee to the RACGP's annual conference. The conference enables you to learn about current issues impacting on general practice as well as enjoy networking and socialising with other resident and interns and GPs from around Australia .

Faculties

The RACGP is committed to further assisting and guiding you along your path of professional development. The college understands the importance of providing members with a ‘point of contact' in every state and believes it is important that members have a ‘local meeting place' to discuss important matters. Members of the RACGP are automatically granted membership of their state/territory faculty. Members are also able to join the RACGP's National Rural Faculty, Faculty of Specific Interests and National Faculty of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health. Find out more...

The RACGP understands that GPs are often faced with growing demands and stress in their professional and clinical roles. In line with the college's commitment to encourage a culture of self care among GPs, the RACGP offers members* with free confidential counselling and support through our GP Support Program.   • Online - login to the RACGP website and pay for your membership online
  • Phone - to renew your RACGP membership, call 1800 331 626 from 9.00am to 5.00pm (AEST), Monday to Friday, and pay by one of the following accepted credit cards:
  • Fax - fax your membership payment with credit card details to 03 8699 0489.
  • Direct debit authority - download and complete a direct debit authority, then mail it to:
