Medical indemnity savings for RACGP registrar members
The RACGP has negotiated a special arrangement with Avant, which will provide significant savings on our registrar members’ indemnity premiums, while receiving high quality medical indemnity cover.
After completing your RACGP Fellowship requirements and you enter private practice, you can benefit from massive savings on Avant insurance premiums:
- save 50% in your first year of private practice, and
- save 25% in your second year of private practice.
One of the key eligibility criteria for accessing these great savings via Avant’s Getting Started in Private Practice (GSIPP) package, is that doctors cannot have private billings of more than $25,000 in any one year.
As we are aware that this criteria would make many of our general practice registrar members ineligible for this offer, the RACGP has negotiated with Avant to have the ‘previous private billing’ eligibility criteria waived. This automatic waiving is unique to RACGP members, and can be obtained when you convert your current Avant Doctor’s in Training indemnity policy into Avant’s GSIPP package, or when you purchase a new Avant GSIPP package.
