The award winners from this year’s RACGP Conference for General Practice – GP15 – cover a broad cross section of general practice, from those who have provided decades of service to local and international patient populations, to international medical graduates who have made a significant mark on the profession in Australia.
Emeritus Professor Max Kamien was the recipient of this year’s Rose-Hunt Award, the most prestigious accolade the RACGP awards to any of its members. With a medical career that stretches back more than 50 years, including several important roles within the RACGP, Dr Kamien has plied his trade across the globe, always working to help people who are most in need.
Other honours awarded by the RACGP at GP15 included the year’s best GP, supervisor, rural GP, general practice registrar and rural registrar. Each of the worthy winners has a genuine love for general practice and has worked hard to give back to the profession and patients that have given them so much.
