Conference for General Practice: GP15 abstracts

As the general practice profession readies itself for the RACGP’s Conference for General Practice – GP15 – in Melbourne from 21–23 September, the members of its Scientifi c Committee have been working to examine conference abstracts submitted by GPs and healthcare professionals from all over the country. Abstract submission was open to anyone who wished to present at GP15 and those chosen by the committee form the basis for more than 100 presentations and 50 posters available to delegates throughout the conference. ‘The Scientifi c Committee members were chosen for their educational experience, their different points of view and their willingness to contribute. We come from a range of ages and a range of experiences. If there wasn’t disagreement, then the people in the committee wouldn’t be doing their job,’ Associate Professor Chris Hogan, Chair of the Scientifi c Committee, told Good Practice. ‘Our job is to try and represent the depths and breadths of general practice.
