AugustOFCThe RACGP Foundation’s latest fundraising adventure saw a group of GPs travel to Spain to walk a section of the famed El Camino de Santiago, raising $24,000 in much-needed funds for general practice research.

Australian healthcare professionals from all over Australia are set to come together in Melbourne for the RACGP’s upcoming Conference for General Practice – GP15 – in September. The conference is an opportunity for healthcare professionals to share experiences and ideas with colleagues, attend various presentations, and fulfil QI&CPD requirements via a number of educational events.

A recent survey conducted by the RACGP’s National Rural Faculty looked at some of the work Australia’s rural and remote GPs do in a vital area of healthcare.

Suicide remains a significant problem throughout Australia. GPs have a vital role to play in working with patients who have experienced suicidal thoughts.

Melbourne’s Dr Vyom Sharma’s love of magic and performing helped lead him to his career in general practice.
