From 1 July 2012 to 30 June 2013, RACGP Overseas members can access the following resources and services for only $440 AUD (GST n/a):

Standards and Guidelines

Standards and
GuidelinesThe RACGP sets and maintains standards for general practices. Throughout our members' entire journey of general practice the RACGP's vocational training standards, our curriculum and assessment processes continue to set the benchmark for quality practice. To support you in delivering quality clinical practice the RACGP also provides practical clinical guidelines.

Education

EducationUnderstanding that our members are busy practitioners, the College provides a suite of convenient educational services to support their clinical professional development and clinical learning.

^ QI&CPD Program is not included in the membership package for Resident/Intern members or Retired members

Overseas medical colleges

The RACGP has developed strong relationships with a number of overseas colleges. Our shared aims in establishing these links are to support improvements in standards, education and training in general practice and primary care in our countries. In particular, the RACGP has long standing relationships with the Hong Kong College of Family Physicians (HKCFP) and the Academy of Family Physicians of Malaysia (AFPM). The RACGP has also entered into agreements with the Fiji College of General Practitioners, the Gulf Medical College Ajman and the Irish College of General Practitioners to work together for the mutual benefit of our organisations and the patients we serve.

Conjoint Fellowship examination

Medical practitioners in Hong Kong and Malaysia are also able to obtain FRACGP through a conjoint Fellowship examination. Medical practitioners who are planning to sit the RACGP conjoint Fellowship examination and are members of the HKCFP or the AFPM are also required to be financial members of the RACGP. The conjoint Fellowship examination is held once per year in Hong Kong and once per year in Malaysia in conjunction with the respective colleges. Enrolment for the conjoint examination is through our partner colleges. Upon successful completion of the Fellowship examination and fulfilment of the eligibility criteria, the FRACGP is conferred on these doctors. RACGP Fellows and senior staff attend these examinations to ensure that College standards are maintained.

Overseas RACGP members intending to practise in Australia should advise the Membership Department when they commence Australian medical practice. Contact racgp@racgp.org.au
