Student membership
As a medical student*, you are invited to take up free student membership from 1 July 2008 to 30 June 2009 and get your medical career off to a flying start. Your student membership package is designed to provide an extensive range of useful resources to support your medical education.
Free online student membership
Your free student membership package offers:

- Australian Family Physician (AFP) online – access the online version of the college’s official journal, produced monthly. For only $49 you can upgrade your membership and you will also receive:
- Australian Medicines Handbook 2008 on CD (new) – the independent, evidence based drug reference, valued at $115. Designed for practicality, efficacy and safety, AMH includes information on drug classes as well as drug monographs containing new/revised evidence and comparative data plus more. I want to renew my membership
If you are on the RACGP student upgrade membership package and wish to renew your membership, or if you are a free online student member and wish to upgrade for the first time, you can pay by one of the following methods:
- By phone - to renew your RACGP membership, call 1800 331 626 from 9.00am to 5.00pm (AEST), Monday to Friday, and pay by one of the following accepted credit cards:
- RACGP/Amex Credit Card
- American Express
- Mastercard
- Visa
- By fax - fax your membership payment with credit card details to 03 8699 0489.
- By BPay – use Biller Code: 221606 and Reference # as stated on your membership tax invoice.
- By cheque or money order - make the cheque or money order payable
to "The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners" and
mail it to:

If you require a duplicate tax invoice for your membership, or you would like to change your membership type, please call 1800 331 626.
Receipts are issued and mailed at the end of each month.
* “Medical students” entitled to this membership are
undergraduate medical students and graduate students enrolled full time
in medical programs including Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of
Biomedical Science.
