Get help to pay the bills if you can’t
If you couldn’t work, who would help maintain your lifestyle? While we are all different, consider some of your regular expenses: mortgage, school fees, car, entertainment, memberships, electricity, rates – they all add up. But help may be easier to access than you think.
Features of ProSecure Income Replacement Plan include:
- Up to 75% of your monthly earnings, to a maximum of $20,000 a month.1
- Disability payments for up to two years (per claim).2
- There are no blood tests or medicals.
- You can pay your premiums monthly.
- You receive immediate cover (once your application is accepted).
- The first two monthly Disability Benefit payments will be boosted by an additional 1/3.
- Your premiums may be tax deductible and Disability payments are generally included as assessable income.3
Additional help if you need it
Depending on your circumstances you may also need additional financial help. Your cover includes funds to help pay for:
- Child care assistance.
- A rehabilitation program.
- A nurse or housekeeper within your home.

1. The monthly amount payable for the Total
Disability Benefit is the lesser of (1) the monthly benefit that you
choose to insure (to a maximum of $20,000) and (2) 75% of the first
$20,000 per month of your pre-claim earnings plus 50% of the next
$10,000 per month of your ‘pre-claim earnings’ less
‘other payments’. Please refer to the Glossary in the PDS
for further information on ‘pre-claim earnings’ and
‘other payments’. It is in your interest to not insure more
than the maximum you can be paid. The monthly amount payable excludes
business expenses.
2. The maximum cumulative benefit period for any mental illness
condition or for any condition arising from or contributed to by a
mental illness which gives rise to the disability (as determined by a
registered and qualified psychiatrist who is a medical practitioner) is
12 months.

4. Claims arising directly or indirectly from a pre-existing medical
condition are excluded. A pre-existing medical condition is an injury,
illness, condition or related symptom that, in the five years
immediately preceding the policy acceptance date, you were aware of (or
a reasonable person in your position should have been aware of ); or
for which you had or were intending to have a medical consultation; or
for which a reasonable person in your circumstances would have had a
medical consultation.
