Letters for patients to provide to their MPs regarding the removal of the MBS joint injection item numbers 50124 and 50125
In the 2009-10 Federal Budget the government removed the MBS item numbers 50124 and 50125 for injection into a joint or other synovial cavity. The RACGP has received several complaints from members about this and in response, the RACGP has developed two patient letters for patients to provide to their local Members of Parliament to voice their concerns when they are either out of pocket due to the removal of the items or referred to a specialist. These letters can be downloaded here.
