1. How do I request a literature search through the Library?
You can:
1. Clicking on the Library main page at www.racgp.org.au/library 2. Click on the "Request a lit search button" to the left of the page. 3. Please include all the details of your literature search, including date required and method of delivery. 4. Click submit request. 5. You’ll receive a confirmation email of your request, and we will respond to your request as soon as possible. Searches can take up to ten working days to be completed and delivered. Priority will be given to patient related/clinical requests. | ![]() |
2. How do I request training on how to do my own literature searching?

3. I'd like the Library to provide me with information to answer a specific question. How do I request this?
You can:
1. Clicking on the Library main page at www.racgp.org.au/library 2. Scroll down to the bottom left of the page and click on the "Ask the Library" button". 3. Fill in all the details required and click Submit request. 4. You’ll receive a confirmation email of your request, and we will respond to your request as soon as possible. It can take up to ten working days to do the necessary research and deliver a response. Priority will be given to patient related/clinical requests. | ![]() |
4. Can you help me to find appropriate, evidence-based medical literature on the world wide web?

Yes. At the RACGP John Murtagh Library we provide a number of
services on our website.

4. Do you have any evidence-based clinical reference tools online?

Yes. The Library currently subscribes to DynaMed, an
evidence-based clinical reference tool created for use by doctors and
other health care professionals for use primarily at the
'point-of-care'.
To access DynaMed: 1. Click on the Library main page at www.racgp.org.au/library 2. Click on the Library research / database access navigation button to the left of the page. 3. Scroll down to the DynaMed Access button and click. 4. Access the page and you can click on the provided link to bring up the seperate DynaMed page. 5. The DynaMed page will pop up and you can begin searching or browsing your chosen topic. | ![]() |
