Nic David JOOLS, Walsh Bay NSW - Member of the Order of Australia . For service to the community through philanthropic donations of Australian art and financial support for a range of educational and medical organisations, as a benefactor to developing artists, and to medicine in the field of gynaecology.
Richard John MATTHEWS (non-member), Coogee NSW - Member of the Order of Australia. For service to the health sector through leadership roles in the areas of service development, primary health care, mental health, and drug and alcohol policy.
John Herbert MICKAN (non-member), Wattle Park SA - Member of the Order of Australia. For service to rural medicine, particularly through contributions to research resulting in the identification and isolation of the amoebic meningitis parasite and through the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia.
Geoffrey John RILEY (non-member), Albany WA - Member of the Order of Australia. For service to medical education, particularly to rural and clinical practice, as an academic and administrator, and to professional organisations.
Peter Gordon SHARP (RACGP Associate), Garran ACT - Member of the Order of Australia. For service to medicine in the field of Indigenous health, particularly through clinical, teaching and administrative roles with the Winnunga Nimmityjah Aboriginal Health Service.

Dr Peter David Goldsworthy, Adelaide SA – Member of the Order of Australia. For service to literature as an author and poet, through arts administration, and to the community.
Dr Merilyn Joyce Liddell, Surrey Hills VIC - Member of the Order of Australia. For service to tertiary education and administration, particularly in the discipline of medicine, and to cross-cultural exchange and co-operation with Malaysia.
Dr Robyn Margaret Walker, ACT - Member of the Order of Australia. For exceptional service as a medical officer in the Australian Defence Force.
Dr Fabio Robert Brecciaroli, Pelican Waters, QLD - Medal of the Order of Australia. For service to medicine, particularly through the provision of palliative care services, and to the community of the Sunshine Coast.
Dr Edward William Brentnall, Southbank, VIC - Medal of the Order of Australia. For service to acute and emergency medicine, particularly through the development of innovative procedures.
Dr Timothy Duncan Hannah, Bardon, QLD - Medal of the Order of Australia. For service to medicine as a general practitioner in the Katherine region.
Dr Terrence Joseph Horgan, St Ives, NSW - Medal of the Order of Australia. For service to the community as a fundraiser for Catholic charitable organisations.
Dr Christopher John Kennedy, Townsville QLD - Medal of the Order of Australia. For service to medical administration and medical education in north Queensland.
Dr Keith Jacob Lipshut, Wangaratta VIC - Medal of the Order of Australia. For service to the community of Wangaratta, and as a general practitioner.
Dr John Douglas McKee, Bega NSW - Medal of the Order of Australia. For service to the community of Bega, to medicine, and to Rotary.
Dr Bruce Graham Menzies - Medal of the Order of Australia. For service to the arts in the Armidale region, particularly music, and as a general practitioner.

Dr John James Patten, Ascot QLD – Public Service Medal. For outstanding public service to Queensland Health in the development of sexual health medicine in Queensland.

Dr Marguerette Joyce Hill, Beijing, China – Member of the Order of Australia. For service to international humanitarian aid in China through the provision of medical and foster care for children with disabilities

Dr Trevor James Tierney (RACGP Associate), Bonalbo NSW – Medal of the Order of Australia. For service to medicine as a general practitioner, and to the community of Bonalbo.
We would also like to acknowledge Mr Gordon Nigel Gregory, Hughes ACT. He received a Medal of the Order of Australia for service to the community through the National Rural Health Alliance.
