The Practice Based Assessment (PBA) Pathway is a newly developed alternative pathway to Fellowship of the RACGP.
Established on the principles of PBA, the pathway is aimed at the experienced GP who wants to gain Fellowship outside of a formal training and education environment.
The PBA Pathway is made up of the following:
- Applied Knowledge Test (AKT)
- Key Feature Problems (KFP)
- Examiner Practice Visit (EPV) – this component will not contribute to the candidate’s marks but will provide valuable feedback before undertaking the Recorded Consultations
- Recorded Consultations (RCs)
The PBA Pathway will launch as a pilot program in 2017 for a strictly limited number of selected candidates.
