  • If you are not a College member and would like access to check online, please fill out a subscription form, then call the gplearning helpdesk on 1800 284 789 to register in the first instance. You will be provided a username and password.

How can I attract RACGP QA&CPD points with check?

  • You can obtain 40 Category 1 (ALM) QA&CPD points for each unit of check, by completing the ALM evaluation form, which can be downloaded at the bottom of this page.
  • You can enrol in the QA&CPD Category 2 activity via gplearning. Each check unit attracts 6 Category 2 points. Complete the unit and answer 10 MCQs. A pass is 8/10. Points are awarded automatically after the unit is completed online. Points will appear on your QA&CPD statement within two weeks of completion.

Note to participants in the QA&CPD activities related to the check Program:
Previously, participants were able to complete two online QA&CPD activities associated with check – an active learning module (ALM) and a Category 2 activity in the form of 10 multiple choice questions (MCQs). Due to a lack of participation in the Category 1 activity (ALM) over the triennium, the RACGP has decided not to offer this activity online from July 2010. In addition, from January 2011, the Category 1 (ALM) activity will no longer be available for completion in the hardcopy version of check. The QA&CPD Category 2 activity continues

Other QA&CPD activities

The check Program coupled with the resources can form the basis of discussions for small group learning (SGL) or supervised clinical attachment (SCA) activities with GPs in their practice or with specialists/allied health workers in their local area.

Refer to the quick reference guide for more information on the QA&CPD Program.
