Letters of Status
The RACGP is pleased to assist doctors who are working towards Fellowship by providing a Letter of RACGP Fellowship Status.
Doctors who are on a pathway to Fellowship of the RACGP may be asked for a letter from the College confirming their progress towards Fellowship. The requirement may be from AHPRA in relation to medical registration, from Medicare Australia in relation to a provider number, or from the Department of Immigration and Citizenship in relation to a visa.
These doctors may be working to complete the general practice experience eligibility requirements, they may be progressing through their Fellowship assessments, or they may have completed the assessments and be awaiting admission to Fellowship.
A doctor is deemed to be on a pathway to Fellowship any time after the date on which the College has received a complete application for assessment of time or on which the applicant has enrolled in a Fellowship assessment. Following admission to Fellowship, Letters of Status no longer apply.
Specialist Pathway Program Category 1 candidates are not eligible for a Letter of Status and are required to
a. Complete the SPP application
b. Obtain FAEG approval
The Fellowship Services Branch in National Office provides Letters of RACGP Status. If the request is from AHPRA, the Letter will be accompanied by a Statement of Academic Record (Excerpt), as agreed with AHPRA.
To request a Letter of RACGP Fellowship Status, please complete the form and arrange for payment of the fee ($50 for RACGP members and $150 for non-members).

Please remember to keep a copy of your completed and signed form.
